Venus Transit Sunset over Waikiki Beach Oahu, HI
the Venus Transit was only viewable from the Western Hemisphere and I just happened to be in Honolulu on Waikiki Beach painting a sunset setting when this natural phenomena occurred. It only happens once every 180 years and I am so fortunate to not only have witnessed such an event but to have captured it in oil paint as well.
